Does your school have goals in regards to the make up of the test takers for gender and race?

If so, you should think about asking students what their race and gender are when they register. This will allow you to have this data earlier than when you wait for reports from the College Board. Having this information early may allow you to make some changes in how you encourage students to register for AP courses for next year. By the time you have the College Board's reports you may already have schedules set for students for the next year.
